My area of expertise is the mind, and so many people think that they have no control over their thinking, their minds and their lives, and I’d like people to know it’s possible to change all three. We can’t control everything that happens in our lives, but we can increase our strength and resourcefulness around things that happen, and make sure we are not holding ourselves back.
Are you struggling in some way? Do you feel like you’re having to fight yourself to move forward in the way you want? Perhaps you have anxiety or depression. Maybe you procrastinate or struggle with motivation. Or perhaps low self esteem is getting in the way of your relationship or at work.
I can help. My area of expertise is the unconscious mind and I have a number of techniques I can use to help you change what’s happening at root cause, so you can stop fighting yourself and move forward in the way you want.
With 8 years experience working with people one-on-one, I’m really good at listening, asking the right questions, and identifying what it is that’s causing someone to struggle. And more importantly, I’m really good at helping them change it in a way that’s sustainable, feels good, and is a real fit for the person and what they want.
I’m from Christchurch, New Zealand, a city that’s made international news a number of times in recent years for all the wrong reasons. In February 2011, I was at the end of a 6 month working holiday in Brisbane, Australia. I was getting ready to move back to Christchurch, and had been timing my return with an NLP Practitioner training, something I’d been looking forward to doing for a long time.
Then the February 22nd earthquake hit, taking with it 185 lives, the entire city centre, and my old career as a teacher of English as a Second Language.
My partner and I had a decision to make. Did we return to a city that was severely damaged, experiencing ongoing aftershocks with a chance of more big earthquakes, and a large number of very stressed and anxious people, or did we do something different for a while and return once things had settled down?
Within a week we’d made our decision. We both wanted to go home anyway. It felt right, despite the craziness we were going back to, and so we returned.
Continuing in my career as a teacher of English as a Second Language once I returned to Christchurch wasn’t a possibility. Anyone who didn’t need to be in the city had left and it was a long time before they started to return.
That meant doing something different. I’d decided a couple of years beforehand I would love to go in to NLP at some point. I’d seen its potential to change lives for the better and experienced it for myself. I’d been actively studying it for a year, but I’d never thought about when and how I was going to make the transition.
Turns out the earthquake had made the decision for me.
And so I dived in. I had no idea how to run a business, but I started one anyway. It was a difficult journey but incredibly rewarding to be able to help people overcome problems and challenges in their lives, something I still love even now.
In 2018 I moved to the other side of the world, and now live in my partner’s hometown just north of Oxford, UK. My partner’s parents are now in their 80s, and with his Mum having some health challenges, we thought it important to be close by.
I still offer one-on-one coaching and therapy sessions, and love connecting with and working with my clients, particularly those who have had to overcome adverse experiences in their past, and need a hand freeing themselves from those completely, or those who are interested in starting their own business (if I can help them accelerate their journey towards success and avoid the mistakes I made, I’m a happy woman!). I love using my knowledge and sharing what I know in order to help people make significant changes in their lives. I’m also continually inspired by my clients, and honoured by their trust in me and openness to new ideas and techniques.
I now also have a personal development e-learning programme – an opportunity that opened up for me when I moved to the UK. It gives new video trainings each week and shares all the knowledge I’ve been using to help people since 2011. It’s fantastic for people who are proactive and willing to invest the time in learning and mastering new techniques so they can live a better life – a life of resourcefulness, happiness and fulfilment.
I love NLP and all the things I’ve learned since doing my initial training course. I love helping and empowering people and making a difference in the world. I love what I do.
If you’d like some help freeing yourself from the things that have happened to you in the past and you think I could be the right person to help, please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.
